Atopica for cats - Itchy Skin (Allergic dermatitis) is caused by sensitivity to allergens in the environment, such as dust mites, pollen and mould spores. Diet can also affect the condition.

Red, bumpy skin; hair loss; inflammation; and skin tearing on the head and neck are some of the ways allergic dermatitis can present itself in your cat.

The response to Atopica is usually seen within four to eight weeks of treatment and normally results in significant improvement and your cat may appear cured. However, this is a life-long disease and stopping treatment is likely to cause signs to recur.

Your vet will arrange regular check-ups for your cat to assess how they are responding to their new medication. Your vet may also adjust how often the liquid is given.
