Dechra Veterinary Products has launched Fiprocat® and Fiprodog®, a spot-on solution for the treatment and prevention of on-animal flea infestations in cats and dogs of all sizes. Containing fipronil, one of the most commonly used on-animal flea treatments in veterinary practice, Fiprocat and Fiprodog offer a cost effective flea solution.
Flea infestations are now a year-round concern to the modern client who has a 'zero tolerance' attitude towards fleas. New Regulations For Online Sale Of Pet Meds
Recently the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) have announced they will be inspecting all online suppliers of pet medicines later this year. Companies which are approved will display a logo and have a unique number to show they are registered and allow people to distinguish between legitimate online dispensaries and those to avoid.
Pet Dispensary started in 2006 and since then have only sourced UK medications and products the same as those at your local veterinary practices. Pet Dispensary uses one of the main UK veterinary wholesalers to supply our medications (NVS) and abides to the same regulations as UK Vet practices. Pet Dispensary welcomes the VMD inspections and new logo scheme.

Lungworm in Cats & Dogs
There is a lot of talk about Lungworm at the moment, please note that Panacur Suspension, Panacur Granules and Panacur SA Paste cover against Lungworm type Oslerus (Filaroides) Osleri and this medication doesn't require a prescription.
For treatment against Lungworm type Angiostronglus Vasorum consider Advocate (this does need a prescription from your vet.)
For routine control of parasites consider Frontline Spot On and Drontal.

Free Prescription Reminder Service
If you keep a repeatable prescription on file with us, during the month the prescription will expire we will endeavour to give you a call to remind your prescription is about to expire and that there is medication to take. All prescriptions have an expiry date on them (usually 6 months from the date of it being written) and if you don't order before this date expires we can't dispense the medication to you and you will need to get a new prescription from the vet.
This service just reminds you and to help save you some money on charges that will occur if you have to get a new prescription. After the call it is then your choice to order the medication before the end of the month, otherwise after this time a visit to the vet and a new prescription would be needed.
(Please note if we are unable to reach you by telephone or email we will not be able to offer this service to you and we are not responsible if the message doesn't reach you).

We offer Free P&P that goes 2nd class, or for £1.50 we will send it First Class. For prescription medication or high value orders we recommend Special Delivery which is £5.75 but your parcel is trackable and delivered the day after dispatch.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your parcel is NOT sent Special Delivery and there is a problem with Royal Mail delivering the parcel we wait 15 days before we can start a claim process. Your order will not be re-sent until this claim has been processed. October 2010
